Manager of Operations, public speaker, and career services veteran. I've spent nearly a decade helping people land jobs — now I help them do it on their own terms.
BA Psychology · TESOL Certified · Hamilton, Ontario
I'm currently the Manager of Operations at PATH Employment Services in Hamilton, Ontario, where I lead a team that supports career professionals across Southern Ontario — including the Hamilton, Halton, Niagara, Brant-Brantford, and Haldimand-Norfolk regions. I help service providers equip their frontline staff with the tools they need to help job seekers succeed, especially those facing barriers like disability and accommodation needs.
Before PATH, I spent nearly five years at the YMCA of Hamilton|Burlington|Brantford as a Program Coordinator and Employment Placement Counsellor. Across both organizations, I've personally counselled hundreds of job seekers through every stage of their search — from resumes and cover letters to interviews, salary negotiation, and accepting offers.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University, a College Diploma in General Arts and Science from Sheridan College, and a certificate in Ethics and Theory for Career Professionals from Conestoga College. I'm also TESOL-certified and trained in TASC (Recognize Thoughts of Suicide and Engage Safely).
After years of seeing what works and what doesn't, I noticed a pattern: most job search advice online is either too generic ("be confident!") or too narrow ("here's a resume template"). Neither helps people make decisions in the moment — in the interview, in the negotiation, in the email back to the recruiter.
Westwood Consulting is where I share the practical, no-fluff frameworks I've used with hundreds of clients. The free guides on this site cover the core skills. The 1:1 coaching is where we work through your specific situation.
Out of respect for my role at PATH Employment Services, I don't accept private coaching clients who are currently unemployed and located within 30 minutes of Hamilton. PATH provides free, government-funded employment services to that population — they're the right starting point, and I want to make sure people get the support they're entitled to without paying for it.
I work with two groups:
If you're not sure whether you're a fit, book the free 15-minute consultation and we'll figure it out together. If I'm not the right resource, I'll point you to one that is.
I'm a public speaker who has presented professional development sessions, webinars, podcasts, and a two-day conference to over 100 employment professionals on topics ranging from accessibility to assistive technology to career development.
I serve as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Hamilton Literacy Council, and I'm an active member of my local church. I'm based in Hamilton, Ontario with my family.
I've supported the expansion of programs from 12 to 54 service providers and personally assessed over 300 clients for employment programs. The frameworks I share come from that experience — not theory.
I specialize in disability accommodation and assistive technology, so I can coach job seekers navigating barriers most coaches haven't encountered.
